The Gnarbox 2.0 SSD is the successor to original Gnarbox. It measures 6 x 3 x 1.16 inches and weighs about 1.1 lbs. Compared Gnarbox 1.0, the 2.0 model shows off a newly designed appearance design. The rubber casing with an array of grooves delivers a reliable shield to protect its internal components from bumps and shocks, and it’s IP67-certified to withstand water immersion between 15cm and 1 meter for 30 minutes and protect it from dust.
Gnarbox 2.0 SSD portable backup device comes equipped with 128GB-1TB NVMe SSD in order to securely hold your digital files and ensure your backup with speeds up to 75MB/s using its built-in SD card reader or 450MB/s using its USB-C port. In addition to the SD card slot and two USB-C ports, the SSD storage device also features a microHDMI port to connect with a HDTV or display for viewing your photos and videos. Using its custom app, you can also easily manage, edit and share your creations. Its built-in 3200mAh rechargeable battery offers 5 hours of backup or 3 hours of editing on a single charge.
The team behind Gnarbox 2.0 is raising fund for the portable backup device on Kickstarter. You can pledge $299/$379/$449/$699 to preorder the device in different storage capacity. All models will be shipped in December 2018.
