Garmin has released Fenix 6, its latest multisport GPS watch series. With dozens of advanced features, it’s an ideal companion for various outdoor activities.
Garmin Fenix 6 series contains multiple variants based on different sizes and a bit different features, including Fenix 6, Fenix 6S, Fenix 6 Pro, Fenix 6S Pro and Fenix 6X as well as Fenix 6X Pro. As shown in the images, all the models deliver a rugged, sophisticated design, and the construction has passed U.S. military standards for thermal, shock and water resistance, so it’s strong enough to withstand harsh natural environments.
In terms of appearance, Garmin Fenix 6 has a 1.3″ display with 260 x 260 resolution covered in Gorilla Glass, while the Fenix 6S is a smaller version with a 1.2″ display with 240 x 240 resolution. The Fenix 6X and Fenix 6X Pro have a same 1.4″ display with 280 x 280 resolution.
The Fenix 6 multisport GPS watch features multi-GNSS satellite reference in order to provide secure and reliable navigation in more challenging environments. With built-in altimeter, barometer and 3-axis electronic compass, the GPS smartwatch gives you accurate and detailed location data.
Using preloaded activity profiles, the multisport watch tracks your running, swimming, biking, hiking, resort skiing, golfing, rowing and more. The Fenix 6 Pro and 6S Pro also feature PacePro technology that helps you keep your pace with grade-adjusted guidance as you run a course.
Furthermore, an integrated enhanced optical heart rate monitor always tracks your heart rate, and showing you your fitness intensity and stress level score. The built-in Pulse Ox sensor lets you know how well your body is absorbing oxygen, so it’s ideal for altitude acclimation or sleep monitoring.
Moreover, using Bluetooth technology, it always shows you incoming messages, alerts and notifications on your wrist from your smartphone. Built-in Garmin Pay contactless payment allows you to use it as a virtual wallet.
Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, 6S Pro and 6X Pro feature 32GB internal storage that holds up to 2,000 songs, and it allows you access to compatible streaming apps including Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music. With WiFi connectivity, the three version enable more features on the watch such as Trendline Popularity Routing, PacePro, ski maps and the ability to preload music.
