There are lots of drones on the market, but if you’re a fan of LEGO, you may more like to use Flybrix kit and your favorite LEGO bricks to build your own drone.
The Flybrix is a pretty cool and very creative brick kit that allows you to use your existing LEGO bricks to build various flying drones. The kit is available in two versions including basic and deluxe. The basic version comes with a bag of assorted LEGO bricks, a LEGO minifig pilot, 8 quick-connect motor boom-arms & motors, 8 propellers, a pre-programmed Flybrix flightboard, LiPo battery and more, while its deluxe version also features a radio controller and a radio control transmitter.
Using included LEGO bricks, components and online instructions, you can easily assemble a flying drone by yourself and using your own LEGO bricks, you can also build a one-of-a-kind drone. Its integrated Bluetooth technology allows you to control the drone with your smartphone, and the radio controller in deluxe pack delivers a longer control range.
Furthermore, the Flybrix brain is a 96Mhz ARM Cortex-M4 processor that’s compatible with Arduino, and its code is all open-source, so you can code or add more modules to your own drone like GPS, WiFi and more. In addition, its companion app supports iOS and Android.
