The Mavic Air is an advanced and flexible 4K camera drone that measures 6.5 x 1.6 x 3.2 inches and weighs 15.2 ounces. As shown in the images, the new drone has a similar silhouette with DJI Spark released last year, but its detailing and streamlined contours deliver a more charming appearance design. Meanwhile, similar with Mavic Pro, the drone is foldable for easy carrying and storage.
As a powerful camera drone, DJI Mavic Air comes equipped with a 1/2.3″ 12MP CMOS sensor and an f/2.8 lens with a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 24mm plus a 3-axis Mechanical gimbal in order to capture high-quality, stable photos and videos. Furthermore, it supports 4K video recording at 30fps, and with support for recording 1080p 120fps slow-motion video, the camera drone detailedly records those high-Speed adventures.
Using new HDR algorithms, the drone delivers more vivid and natural photos. In addition to horizontal, vertical and 180-degree panoramas, Mavic Air also delivers 32MP spherical panoramas by stitching 25 photos together. And using hand gestures, you can effortlessly launch and control the drone for shots.
Moreover, ActiveTrack feature can sense up to 16 selectable subjects simultaneously, and it can accurately follow targets even when they’re running, jumping or cycling. Using FOC sinusoid drive architecture ESCs and advanced propulsion system, the drone also features stable and safe flight, even at altitudes of 5000 meters above sea level, and in Sport mode, Mavic Air delivers top speeds of 68.4kph. In addition, the foldable remote controller lets you comfortably control your Mavic Air, and enhanced WiFi video transmission supports 720p live view from up to 4km away. The drone has 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, and its detachable rechargeable battery offers up to 21 minutes of flight time on a single charge.
