DJI has announced its latest flying drones including Inspire 2 and Phantom 4 Pro. Using a newly added 2-axis FPV camera, the drone delivers a more intuitive way to record aerial videos, and it supports up to 5.2K video recording.
Appearance design
The Inspire 2 is a powerful, high-performance camera drone that weighs 7.25 lbs (including two batteries, without gimbal and camera). As shown in the images, the drone has a similar design with its predecessor Inspire 1, so it shows off its compact, aerodynamic body and transforming design.
Meanwhile, its magnesium aluminum composite shell delivers an ultra durable construction, and carbon fiber arms provide a balance of durability and lightweight design.
Flight performance
DJI Inspire 2 goes from 0 to 50mph in just 4 seconds and features a maximum speed of 67mph and a top descent speed of 9m/s. Using its advanced dual battery system, the flying drone offers up to 27-minute flight time, and its self-heating technology enables it to fly in low temperatures.
Using forward and downward vision systems, Inspire 2 is capable of detecting obstacles up to 30 meters ahead, and upward facing infrared sensors perceive obstacles 5 meters above for safe flight even in enclosed spaces. Its Smart Return Home feature allows it to plan a safe route that makes it return safely.
Camera features
DJI Inspire 2 features the brand new CineCore 2.0 image processing system that works with any camera connected through its dedicatedly designed gimbal port, and it comes equipped with a X4S or X5S camera in order to record 5.2K videos at 30fps or 4K videos at 60fps. Meanwhile, built-in 3D noise reduction, 3DLUT color management technology, advanced sensor correction and stable flight performance allow it to give you cinematic footage.
Furthermore, Inspire 2 also features an onboard 2-axis FPV camera for better pilot and camera operator collaboration, and its Spotlight Pro tracking mode also allows single pilot to capture complex and dramatic images.
In addition to Spotlight Pro, the Drone also features multiple intelligent flight modes including TapFly, ActiveTrack. QuickSpin, Point of Interest and Waypoint modes, so you can flexibly use the modes to achieve high-efficiency flight control and unexpected recording results.
Apart from these, DJI Lightbridge technology features an effective transmission distance of up to 4.3mi, and it’s able to deliver both 720p/1080p video and FPV view to pilot and camera operator. Its broadcast mode allows the drone to broadcast using its dedicated 1080i50 and 720p60 transmission signal by simply connecting the remote controller to the satellite truck.
