The Cosmo Connected is designed to stay on the back of your helmet and turn it into a smart helmet for improved riding safety. Like the idea? Let’s continue checking.
The Cosmo Connected is an advanced app-enabled helmet adapter that fits for any helmet. As we can see from the images, the connected device shows off a compact appearance design and the curved contours allow it to complement to the streamlined design of your helmet. Meanwhile, multiple color options enable it to match well with different helmets, and magnetic feature lets you easily attach it onto your helmet or effortlessly move it from one helmet to another.
Using built-in sensors, the smart helmet add-on automatically detects the speed and deceleration of the rider. When you decelerate, the Cosmo shines bright red in order to warn anyone behind you that you’re coming to a stop or you’re slowing down. Furthermore, its warning mode makes the LED light flash red when your bike breaks down or you’re stuck in traffic.
Moreover, when detecting the rider’s fall, Cosmo will start blinking red, notifying other drivers that you need help. At the time, the helmet adapter will also automatically alert an emergency roadside assistance platform using your smartphone. In addition, its built-in 900mAh rechargeable battery offers 5-8 hours of continuous use and 5 to 7 days of standby time between charges.
The crowdfunding campaign for Cosmos Connected is ongoing on Kickstarter. Pledging €71 (approx US$77) will let you own the smart helmet add-on. It would be shipped in September 2017 if reaching its fund goal in time. BTW, don’t miss the smart cycling helmet and more cool related gadgets by following tags.
