Chasing Dory underwater camera drone has been ready to discover the awesome underwater works with you. Cool? Let’s keep checking.
The Dory is an advanced, app-controlled underwater camera drone that measures 9.7 x 7.4 x 3.6 inches and weighs less 2.5 lbs. As shown in the images, with the compact design, you can simply store it in your backpack for portability. Meanwhile, hydrodynamic design allows it to shuttle underwater.
The underwater drone can dive down 49 feet with a 15 meter tether at speeds up to 1.5 knots. With Depth Lock technology, the drone can maintain stability at the precise depth you choose without getting tossed around, and its 45-degree tilt lock allows it to smoothly scan the ocean floor or peer up through the clear water.
More importantly, the drone comes equipped with an integrated camera with a 1/2.9-inch CMOS sensor that delivers f/1.6 aperture, 100-degree FOV and a sensitivity range of ISO 100-3200, so it’s capable of recording 1080p videos or 2MP stills. Two integrated 250-lemen lights illuminate the waters without overwhelming the eyes of ocean inhabitants.
Moreover, an included WiFi Buoy features 8GB internal storage to store awesome underwater footage. In addition, built-in rechargeable battery offers 1 hour of runtime.
The team behind Chasing Dory is raising fund for the product on Kickstarter. We can pledge $349 to preorder the underwater camera drone. It will be shipped in October 2019.
