Appearance design
As we can see from the images, the Thunderbolt 3 docking station has the same appearance design as Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD, so it features a minimalistic and streamlined design, and its aluminum casing not only delivers a durable construction, but also shows off a stylish and premium look that matches well with your MacBook.
Function features
Unlike previous Thunderbolt 2 dock, the docking station features Thunderbolt 3 standards, so with speeds of 40Gbps, the Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock HD has twice the speed of Thunderbolt 2 and 8x faster than USB 3.0.
The docking station comes equipped with three USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, Gigabit Ethernet, two 3.5mm audio outputs, and DisplayPort. Using the versatile dock, you can freely connect various devices with your MacBook Pro 2016 or other Thunderbolt 3 equipped devices.
Furthermore, the docking station supports dual 4K displays, and it comes wit a 170W power adapter that’s able to provide enough power to connected devices while delivering up to 85W of power to your computer via its Thunderbolt 3 cable.
