In addition to the shadowtrooper samurai, Bandai had also released a Sohei styled Darth Maul action figure. No doubt, the figure can bring more Japanese style into your Galactic showcase.
This is an officially licensed and pretty cool Star Wars action figure based on Darth Maul, but as its name implies, the figure features a modified appearance inspired by Sohei, Buddhist warrior monks from medieval and feudal Japan, so the Darth Maul action figure shows off a symbolic dressing from the unique warriors including kimono-like robes, samurai armor, two strings of Buddha beads, tabi socks, waraji straw sandals and more.
Furthermore, the action figure not only remains the appearance of Darth Maul, but also features a terrible skull-like Japanese mask. Same as the shadowtrooper, the sculpting of the Darth Maul was overseen by Takayuki Takeya in order to ensure every detail can present us perfectly. Moreover, the iconic double-bladed lightsaber has been modified to fit the identity of monk warrior.
The Sohei Darth Maul action figure measures 6.7 inches tall and has many joints of articulation. Using 4 pairs of interchangeable hands the figure can deliver various postures.
The Star Wars Sohei Darth Mail action figure is priced at $89.99 USD. If you’re interested, jump to Amazon for its more details.
