The ZenFone AR is an innovative and advanced Android phone that measures 6.24 x 3.04 x 0.18-0.35 inches (158.7 x 77.4 x 4.6-8.9mm) and weighs 5.99 ounces (170 grams). As we can see from the images, the smartphone shows off a low-profile, elegant and minimal appearance design, and it features a burnished-leather rear Surface that complements to the handset’s precision-milled metal frame. Meanwhile, the leather slightly curved cover and slim form factor provide a tactile and comfortable grip experience.
As an AR equipped smartphone, ZenFone AR features Google’s Tango that consists of a set of sensors and computer vision software, which adds augmented reality capacities to the handset, so ASUS ZenFone AR is capable of detecting how far away it’s from the floor, walls and objects, and it’s also able record key visual features in 3D space.
ASUS ZenFone AR’s TriCam system delivers three rear cameras including a 23MP camera, a depth sensing camera and motion tracking camera. In addition to capturing high-quality photos and recording 4K videos, the camera system enables the phone to create a 3D model of its surroundings and track its motion. Using these AR features, you can use the phone to measure various objects, redecorate your room, play AR games and more.
Using Google Daydream, its 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with 2560×1440 resolution, and high-fidelity sensors that precisely track your head movement, the ZenFone AR has the ability to bring you comfortable and immersive VR experiences.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and comes equipped with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB ROM with a microSD card slot supporting up to 2TB, so it’s powerful enough to handle the demands of Tango and Daydream, various apps, games and HD video playback. Moreover, other features also include 8MP front-facing camera, 5-magnet speaker driven by a powerful NXP Smart AMP, Bluetooth 4.2, dual SIM support, and 3300mAh non-removable battery.
