As we can see from the images, both iPhone 6s and 6s Plus follow the design of their predecessor, but the new iPhone S models are slightly thicker and heavier than iPhone 6/6 Plus in order to prevent them from ‘bendgate’. iPhone 6s measures 2.64 x 5.44 x 0.28 inches, weights 5.04 ounces, and iPhone 6s Plus is 3.07 x 6.23 x 0.29 inches, weights 6.77 ounces. And new Rose Gold gives you another stylish option.
Both iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are powered by 64-bit A9 chip with embedded M9 motion coprocessor. It’s worth mentioning the new iPhones are finally equipped with 2GB RAM respectively. No doubt, they will bring you higher performance and smoother multi-tasking.
Apple has finally abandoned the old 8MP camera, instead iPhone 6s /6s Plus comes with a 12MP iSight camera with next-generation Apple-designed signal processor, autofocus with Focus Pixels, OIS (iPhone 6s Plus only), f/2.2 aperture, five-element lens and Sapphire crystal lens cover in order to help you get great shots. And the 5MP front-facing features Retina Flash that uses a custom display chip to drive the display to flash three times, providing brighter light for perfect selfies. In addition to high-res images, the 12MP rear camera also supports 4K video recording at 30 fps, and unique Live Photos feature adds motion and sound to your still photos. By pressing your Live Photo, you can relive the moment before capturing it.
Another great feature of iPhone 6s/ 6s Plus is newly added 3D Touch. The new feature is based on Apple Watch’s Force Touch, but it has been brought to a new level on iPhone 6s/6s Plus. With its capacitive sensors and all-new Taptic Engine, iPhone 6s is capable to recognize how deeply you’re pressing the display, which brings you Peek & Pop, Quick Actions and more operation convenience.
Apart from that, iPhone 6s has a 4.7″ Retina HD display with 1334-by-750-pixel resolution and 326ppi, and the Retina display of iPhone 6s Plus is 5.5″ with 1920-by-1080-pixel resolution and 401ppi. Other features also include Touch ID, faster LTE, faster WiFi connectivity, iOS 9, and Hey Siri.
