The new iOS 7.1 update has included the latest support for CarPlay. This means just connecting your iPhone 5 you will activate the integrated CarPlay system in your car for handsfree control via Siri. Of course, the premise is you must have a vehicle with CarPlay. At present many carmakers and brands have promised to release their cars with CarPlay, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, Ford and Ferrari.
iOS 7.1 has also brought some UI tweets such as phone dialer and power-off user interfaces with larger round buttons, and incoming call interface features separate accept and decline buttons instead of slidable switch. Moreover, Siri has allowed you to hold down the Home button in order to listen longer queries, and iTunes Radio also allows you to create your own radio stations based on your favorite songs and artists via search bar, and you can also directly subscribe to iTunes Match via your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
iOS 7.1 has also improved the recognition of Touch ID, and new camera setting allows to automatically enable HDR feature when you take photos. Apart from that, iOS 7.1 also fixed an occasional Home screen crash bug and improved responsiveness and performance for iPhone 4.
