Apple has released 10.5″ iPad Air and 7.9″ iPad mini, With A12 Bionic chip, both models bring us higher performance, and they support 1st generation Apple Pencil.

The 10.5″ iPad Air measures 6.8 x 9.8 x 0.24 inches and weighs 1.0 pound (1.02 pounds for Wi-Fi +Cellular model). The 7.9″ iPad mini measures 5.3 x 8.0 x 0.24 inches and weighs 0.66 pound (0.68 pound for Wi-Fi +Cellular model). As shown in the images, both new iPad models follow the classic design language for almost iPad series except two full-screen iPad Pros, so the lightweight and slim form factor allows for easy carrying, but the 7.9″ iPad mini is more friendly for any trip, while the larger iPad Air is more suitable for entertaining at home.

The 10.5″ iPad Air and 7.9″ iPad mini are powered by A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine in order to handle various apps, games and experience AR. The new iPad Air features a 10.5″ Retina display with 2224 x 1668 resolution and 264 ppi, and the iPad mini has a 7.9″ Retina display with 2048 x 1536 resolution and 326 ppi.

In addition to the screen, both models share almost same specs including 8MP rear camera with 1080p recording, 7MP FaceTime camera, Touch ID sensor and more. The support for Apple Pencil 1 allows you to comfortably draw on the iPad Air or quickly take notes on the iPad mini.
