Using 4-microphone array, the Vector can recognize natural speech and source, and 6-axis inertial measurement unit lets him know when he’s picked up or moved, while infrared laser scanner allows him to track distance and map environment.
The Vector is voice activated, so you can ask him a question and he’ll get to work on an answer, and you can also ask him to do something such as taking photos, timing dinner, showing the weather info and more. Furthermore, the mini robot runs on Qualcomm 200, an updatable, cloud connected platform so the Vector is always learning and updating with new skills and features, and Amazon Alexa will be integrated in the robot next year.
