AllHub 100W PD USB-C docking station lets you connect various external devices with your computer, and an integrated wireless charging pad charges your Qi-enabled smartphone.
The AllHub is a powerful and versatile USB-C dock with 100W Power Delivery. As shown in the images, the docking station delivers a minimal and compact form factor, so you will never worry about it taking up too much space on your desk or in your bag. Meanwhile, using three optional finishes: sliver, space gray and black, the aluminum casing with rounded corners matches well with the modern design of your smartphone, laptop and various external devices.
The USB-C docking station comes equipped with two USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, one 4K HDMI port, TF and SD card reader, 100/1000Mbps Ethernet port and 3.5mm audio in and out, as well as a USB-C port, so it’s powerful enough to connect various external devices with your MacBook and any USB-C equipped laptop or desktop computer. Furthermore, built-in 100W Power Delivery technology allows it to efficiently charge larger devices like tablets and laptops. The integrated wireless charging pad at the top wirelessly charges Qi-enabled smartphones, and it supports up to 10W output.
Moreover, the USB-C cable not only works with laptops and desktop computers, but also is compatible with OTG enabled smartphones so that you can use it to transmit data between your smartphone and memory cards or USB flash drives, and using the hub, you can connect your smartphone with an external screen, keyboard, mouse and more devices for a desktop experience.
The team behind Allhub is raising fund for the product on Indiegogo. We can pledge $69 to preorder the USB-C docking station. It will be shipped in July 2019.
I’ve got an all hub. It seems durable but it’s blocky, which makes it a little difficult to place into some bags.
The biggest problem is the cable. It’s so short that it demands you to have your MacBook sitting on the desk– flat. No stands. This is a problem if you’re using a standing desk or, if you’re sitting and want to use a laptop stand that raises the screen, like a Roost– which is also designed for on the go ergonomics.
With no available female-to-male Lightning3 (not USB-C, but Lightning3, which uses the USB-C connector) cable extension cords on the market to extend the cord, the all hub can’t lay flat on the nearby table beneath the stand, which means the cordless charging is rendered useless.
I’m left having waited for a device that’s not really helpful for power users. It would be FANTASTIC if they developed and sold an extension cord.
