Original Apple Lisa is too old, but using the 3D printed Apple Lisa Raspberry Pi case, you can recreate the classic machine by yourself. Like the idea? Let’s have a look.
This is a pretty cool and practical 3D printed protective case designed for Raspberry Pi model B and Pi 2. As we can see from the images, the case is modeled after Apple Lisa, an old-school desktop computer released in 1980s. The replica shows off accurate silhouette and meticulous detailing from its original appearance in order to bring the symbolic personal computer onto your desk, but the 1:4 scale design allows it to perfectly fit for the mini computer.
The Raspberry Pi case is 3D printed with SLA plastic for a durable construction, and using four included mounting screws and instructions, you can easily install your Raspberry Pi into the case. Furthermore, the case also works with your own 2.8-inch LCD screen, so you will get an individual mini Apple Lisa that’s able to handle current tasks without connecting an external monitor when you apply a small LCD display into the case. Moreover, one of the floppy disk drive slots is a working SD card reader to boot your Pi from.
The 3D printed Apple Lisa Raspberry Pi case is available in two models: original Lisa and Lisa 2. Each is priced at $225/$275 USD. If you’re interested, jump to Etsy for its more details. BTW, you can also use the Appe III Raspberry case for more classic design.
