Appearance design
The Travelmate is an innovative and advanced autonomous suitcase that comes in three sizes for different purposes. The Travelmate S measures 21.7 x 7.9 x 15.7 inches, the M edition is 27.2 x 11.4 x 19.3 inches and the L model measures 29.5 x 12.2 x 20.5 inches.
As we can see from the images, all the models show off a sleek and minimal design along with 6 optional colors, and built-in LED lighting not only displays the battery level of your Travelmate, but also delivers eye-catching visual effect. Moreover, the LED lighting is customizable by its companion app.
The Suitcase is made from ABS and polycarbonate for durability, and optional sizes and well-designed internal space allow it to hold all your travel items and keep them organized.
Intelligent features
The Travelmate works as an autonomous robot companion that supports vertical and horizontal autonomous modes and its rechargeable battery lasts for 4.15 hours in continuous autonomous use between charges. With its omni wheels and advanced Follow Me system, the smart Suitcase is able to automatically follow you, and built-in sensor enable it to avoid obstacles in autonomous mode.
Furthermore, the autonomous suitcase can move up to 6.75 mph, and it’s able to dynamically adjust based on the speed of the user. Its built-in rechargeable battery doubles as a powerful power bank. Using its USB port and standard electric outlet, the suitcase charges your smartphone, tablet, laptop and other mobile devices with ease.
Moreover, built-in GPS chip allows you to locate your Travelmate with your smartphone, and integrated scale accurately measures the weight of your contents in the suitcase, so you won’t worry about over packing. In addition, a touch enabled lock system lets you unlock the suitcase with your fingerprint.
Price and shipment date
The Travelmate has been available for preorder via Indiegogo. You can pledge $399/$495/$595 to preorder the autonomous smart suitcase. All three models will be shipped in June 2017.
