The pop-up Himeji Castle is much bigger than those regular pop-up books because it’s built with LEGO bricks instead of paper. Awesome? Let’s keep going.
Talapz, a well-known Japanese LEGO artist has unveiled his latest LEGO creation – a miniature replica of Himeji Castle, one of the most famous Japanese ancient castles. As shown in the video and images, the mini LEGO Himeji Castle features highly exquisite detailing from its original look, and it’s hard to imagine that the LEGO castle boasts the design of a pop-up book. Opening the LEGO “book” shows us a detailed Himeji castle replica.
The whole Himeji Castle replica was built with LEGO pieces without any adhesive, and the artist spent about 15 months on finishing the LEGO pop-up Himeji castle weighting about 12.5kg. When closed, the LEGO pop-up book measures 70 x 70 x 11.5cm, but the number of used parts is unknown. After the break, check out the following video about the LEGO pop-up Himeji Castle.
