Using its patented auto-follow system, Skye’s Orbit autonomousalways follows you and frame you on the screen. Sounds cool? Let’s go on for the .
The Orbit is an advanced and pretty fun autonomous flying drone that measures 13.35 x 18.55 x 4.17 inches and weights 2.81 lbs. As we can see from the images, the drone shows off a gorgeous, streamline appearance inspired by Zaha Hadid’s architecture with rounded, soft edges and smooth surfaces, which delivers an enhanced flight experience.
The flying drone features a built-in patented auto-follow system formed with GPS, computer vision and SGIT tracking technologies. Just attach the included tracking band on your arm and frame yourself in the Skye app, the Orbit will always capture your best moments with its integrated HD camera with 1080p video recording, 120-degree FOV and a sensitivity range from ISO100-1600. Of course, built-in WiFi connectivity also allows you to remotely control the quadcopter with your smartphone.
Furthermore, using its custom app, you can conveniently edit and share your videos and photos with others. The camera can’t capture video with sound, but the app allows you to easily add background music to your videos. In addition, its built-in rechargeable battery offers around 22 minutes of flight time on a 2.2-hour full single charge.
The crowdfunding campaign for the Orbit is ongoing at Kickstarter. You can pledge $469 to preorder the flying drone. It will be shipped in June this year if reaching its funding goal. BTW, also don’t miss the mini racing drone and more related cool stuff by following tags.
