It seems Samsung is not only the most powerful competitor of Apple, but also the faithful follower of Apple. Following Galaxy Tab tablets, Samsung has planed to release its iPod touch like Galaxy Player 4 and 5.
As their names imply, the two mobile entertainment devices respectively use 4-inch Super Clear LCD and 5-inch WVGA LCD, and each Galaxy Player is powered by Cortex-A8 1GHz processor, and features built-in stereo speaker, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, DLNA support, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB, rear 3.2-megapixel camera and front-facing webcam for video chat. Most importantly, Samsung Galaxy Player will use Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and feature the upgradeable capability to Gingerbread 2.3.
Samsung Galaxy Player 4 and 5 will be available in two version including 8GB and 16GB. The two portable media players will be released in the US this spring. Well, let’s stay tuned.
