Samsung has announced its latest smartphone: Galaxy Note 7. With its new iris scanner, 5.7″ QHD screen and USB-C port, the flagship smartphone is trying to bring the industrial standards to a new level.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a high-performance, large-screen smartphone that measures 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 169g. As we can see from the images, the look of Galaxy Note 7 follows the design of Galaxy S7 edge, but less rounded corners and subtler detailing deliver more modern and minimalistic style.
The flagship smartphone runs Google Android Marshmallow OS and it’s powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor (2.3GHz quad abs 1.6GHz quad) plus 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB ROM in order to smoothly deal with various tasks. Meanwhile, its 5.7″ QHD dual edge Super AMOLED display protected with Gorning Gorilla Glass 5 has 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 518ppi pixel density, delivering an ultra-immersive visual experience, and the curved screen allows you to add Edge Panel for quick access to apps, news and functions.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 also features integrated fingerprint scanner and an all-new iris scanner, so you can also unlock your Galaxy Note 7 using your eyes. In addition to a 5MP front-facing camera, the handset also comes equipped with a 12MP rear camera with dual-sensor technology, f/1.7 aperture, fast auto focus and OIS to create sharp and vivid photos even in low light environments.
Moreover, Galaxy Note 7 comes with a new S Pen. Using its smaller 0.7mm tip and improved pressure sensitivity, the stylus delivers a real pen-like writing experience, and the smartphone is IP68 waterproof, so you even can jot down your thoughts on your Galaxy Note 7 with the pen underwater. In addition, other features also include NFC, USB-C port, microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB, and 3500mAh rechargeable battery with fast charging technology.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be available starting on August 19 along with multiple optional colors. If you’re interested, jump to Samsung Mobile for its more details.
