Dos Owls has released ODIN2, its latest Android smart projector via Kickstarter. In addition to bring you content-rich multimedia content, the pico projector has an integrated 5-inch touchscreen for easy control.
The ODIN2 is the successor to original Odin smart projector. The new Android projector measures 5.75 x 6.25 x 1.45 inches, weighs 1.3 pounds, and as we can see from the images, ODIN2 has a simple and elegant appearance, and slim and portable design allows it to decently stand on your desk, so you won’t worry about it affecting the overall style of your room.
The smart projector’s LED light source is able to generate 300 lumens of brightness with native 1280 x 720 resolution and maximum resolution of 1080p, and the LED light source is durable enough to last over 30,000 hours or approx 3.5 years of continuous play. From 1 yard away, its optical beam can produce a 37″ screen size, and from 3 yards away, you can get a 100″ screen.
Furthermore, using an extra camera in front of ODIN2, it automates the picture focus without a manual mechanism. When projector beam hits the surface at an angle, its Keystone Picture feature automatically adjusts the picture to a rectangle. Moreover, built-in 23.8mm diameter speaker provides high-quality audio, and an integrated kickstand is adjustable up to 90 degrees, so you can project your content any way you like. Using an integrated 5-inch touchscreen, the projector delivers a simple and intuitive control experience.
More importantly, the smart projector runs Android 6.0 OS, so you can easily access various apps and games from Google Play like YouTube, Pandora, Spotify, Chrome and more. Meanwhile, its ARM Cortex-A17 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage ensure that it’s able to deal with various apps, games and HD videos.
Apart from these, built-in wide-angle camera and microphone are designed for video calls. In addition to WiFi connectivity, ODIN2 also has built-in Bluetooth 4.0 technology for wireless connection with Bluetooth speaker, mouse, keyboard and other devices. Other interfaces also include two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition to AC adapter, the smart projector can also be powered by a power bank, so it’s a nice companion for outdoor activities.
