Just yesterday Oculus VR unveiled the long-anticipated consumer version of Oculus Rift, and it comes with an Xbox One wireless controller. The VR headset will be shipped in Q1 next year. Curious? Let’s keep checking.
The final design of Oculus Rift has been revealed. From the images, Oculus Rift consists of a virtual reality headset with Rift’s advanced display technology, an integrated VR audio system, and a microphone-like sensor tracking constellations of IR LEDs to translate your movements into VR. Once the three parts work together, you will step in an immersive real world. Moreover, Oculus Rift is capable of streaming Xbox One’s games. Even though the video games don’t support VR technology, you can use included Xbox One controller to play them on your Oculus Rift, and Oculus VR has announced multiple virtual reality games like Valkyrie, Edge of Nowhere, Chronos, and etc.
Oculus VR will also release Oculus Touch, a pair of tracked controllers that bring VR games and experience to a new level. Oculus Rift will appear at E3 next week. On the occasion, more info about the VR headset will be unveiled. Update: the VR headset has been available on Amazon for $399 USD.
