Microsoft has announced Surface Studio, an all-in-one desktop computer for designers. Using its adjustable 28″ PixelSense display and Surface Pen, the computer delivers a convenient studio.

Appearance design

As we can see from the images, the Surface Studio consists of three main parts including display part, base, and two pivoted arms that puts the parts together. The display part measures 637.35 x 438.90 x 12.5mm, and the base measures 250 x 220 x 32.2mm. The whole machine weighs 9.56kg max, so the lightweight and slim desktop computer can fit on any desk.

Moreover, minimalistic design allows it to blend well with various interior styles, and the durable and lightweight aluminum enclosures deliver an eye-catching combination with glossy and matte finishes for premium and fashionable feeling.

Creativity features

Surface Studio features a 28″ 192ppi PixelSense display with 4500 x 3000 resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio, so it delivers highly detailed images along with 10-bit color depth, and 10-point multi-touch feature provides intuitive control experience.

Furthermore, using its uniquely designed Zero Gravity Hinge, you can easily move the display weightlessly from an upright angle, down into Studio Mode with one hand. Meanwhile, its included Surface Pen gives you 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and 12 months of battery life in order to offer you a highly free and comfortable digital painting experience.

Performance

Surface Studio runs Windows 10 Pro. It’s powered by 6th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M/ 980M graphics, so the all-in-one computer has the ability to deal with professional creative applications along with smooth and fast response. Of course, you can also use it to enjoy your favorite games, videos and various multimedia content.

Other features

Microsoft also released a new tool for Surface Studio named Surface Dial. It works on the PixelSense display. By rotating the Bluetooth-enabled control dial, the Surface Studio brings you creative work to a new level.

In addition, Surface Studio comes with 1TB/2TB rapid hybrid drive for ample storage space. Other features include 5.0MP camera with 1080p HD video, 2.1 stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, TPM chip for enterprise security, 4 USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, Mini DisplayPort, WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet port and more.
