Garmin has released fēnix Chronos, its latest GPS smartwatch. With its stylish look, built-in fitness tracker and heart rate monitor, the timepiece is always a decent companion around your wrist for various purposes.
The fēnix Chronos is a premium and versatile GPS enabled sport smartwatch. As we can see from the images, the GPS watch shows off a classic, timeless rounded watch design, and it comes in three different styles including steel sign vintage leather band, steel with brushed stainless steel band and titanium with brushed titanium hybrid band, so it brings some personalized style along with luxurious fashion on your wrist.
The GPS watch comes equipped with multiple outdoor sensors including GPS, GLONASS satellite reception and barometric altimeter with 3-axis compass plus built-in wrist-based heart rate monitor and sophisticated training features with VO2 Max estimator in order to track your running speed, steps, sleep, beats per minute, heart rate variability, the maximum volume of oxygen you can consume per minute, calories burned, the intensity of your fitness activities, as well as real-time situational info, weather changes and elevation data. In addition to running functions, fēnix Chronos also features swim profile, ski/ board mode, rowing mode and golf mode, so it delivers different tracking metrics based on different sports.
The smartwatch wirelessly communicated with your smartphone via Bluetooth technology, so its 1.2″ always-on, sunlight-readable color Garmin Chroma display shows notifications from your phone including emails, texts, alerts and more. Apart from these, its rechargeable battery offer one week of battery life in its smartwatch mode, and it’s water-rated to 100 meters.
