We have featured an impressive PipBoy 3000 modified from an iPhone. Now let’s check another incredible fan made, but this one used HTC Desire HD instead of iPhone.
MyMagicPudding, an amazing crafter from the UK created the working Pip-Boy 3000, an iconic gadget from the wasteland of video game. The casing of the PipBoy 3000 is cast made by Skruffy. The maker uses an HTC Desire HD as the screen and processor of the Pip-Boy 3000, while an Arduino Uno with a USB host shield running microbridge acts as an ADB host for the smart phone, and sends button presses to the phone via TCP over USB. The maker is still improving the workable Pip-Boy 3000, fortunately the test video has been released. After the break, check out the following video.
