Appearance design
The EcoReco’s Model R is an advanced app-enabled electric scooter that supports up to 280 lbs of weight capacity. As we can see from the images, the eScooter shows off a sleek and compact design that allows it to easily shuffle among traffic, and its foldable feature is designed for easily taking for public transportation, fitting in your car’s truck, or storing in any corner of your room.
Riding performance
The electric scooter delivers a top speed of 20mph, and its dynamic battery switching system can hold two battery packs and allows you to change batteries with ease, so you can travel with the scooter for a range of 5-40 miles, and the battery cabin can also be used to accommodate several small items.
The eScooter features a classic throttle mode and two kick-assist modes including kick-ass amplified and kick-ass extended. The kick-ass amplified mode allows you to exercise or ride the scooter stealthily, and its smart sensors read and calculate your kicks. The kick-ass extended mode is designed to help you achieve longer riding range.
Furthermore, its headlight, taillight and underlight make you easily visible for safe riding at night. Using built-in Bluetooth technology, the electric scooter wirelessly connects with your smartphone, and its universal mount on the handlebar holds your phone or action camera in place, and a USB port is placed on the throttle unit, so you can charge your mobile device on the move.
App-enabled features
The Model R implemented emerging standard eBCAS (Early Bicycle Collision Avoidance System), so the eScooter is detectable even when out of sight for smart cars with the same feature. Meanwhile, its Carefree Fall Notification will help you send text message with your GPS location to a pre-set emergency contact in the rare event of an impact or fall.
The foldable electric scooter comes with built-in Tile Bluetooth tracker that helps you to locate your Model R. In addition to a custom physical U-lock, its smart lock allow you to lock or unlock your eScooter with your phone, and you can also send a temporary access code to your friends for scooter sharing.
Price and shipment date
The EcoReco Model R has been available for preorder on Indiegogo. You can pledge $725 to own the app-enabled foldable electric scooter. It will be shipped in April 2017.
