The Bagel is an advanced, innovative and versatile smart tape measure that measures 3.1 x 3.1 x 1.2 inches and weights 4.2 oz. As shown in the images, the tape measure sports a compact and sleek appearance, and the yellow details add some vivid design aesthetics to its solid black body. Meanwhile, the smooth profile provides a comfortable and convenient grip.
The smart tape measure features three measuring modes including string mode, wheel mode and remote mode. Unlike traditional tape measures, the Bagel comes with a more flexible and durable string made of dyneema string that can withstand up to 112 lbs, so its string mode allows you to easily measure curved objects and surfaces, various body types and needless-to-say any flat surface, and the mode can measure up to about 10 feet (3 meters).
The wheel mode allows you to roll its wheel on any surface for measurement, so it’s perfect for measuring distance on curved surfaces, and it supports up to about 33 feet (10 meters) of measurement. Moreover, the remote mode uses an integrated laser pointer to measure the distance to areas that are far away or hard to reach, so you can measure up to 16 feet 4 inches (5 meters) in remote mode.
Furthermore, its 0.96″ OLED display shows the measurement result in real time, and you can also use it to review past measurements. Its built-in 32MB storage capacity stores up to 100 measurements and voice memos, and using Bluetooth technology, all your measurements can be synced to your smartphone, so you can use its companion app to organize your measurements along with voice memos. Apart from these, its rechargeable battery lasts up to 8 hours with constant use between charges.
The crowdfunding campaign for Bagel is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $59 to preorder the smart tape measure. It will be shipped in November this year.
