We have many ways to enjoy our iPhone, iPod touch or Android phone such as games, apps, and even remote control toys, while the latest way is to unleash a real world first person shooting game with AppTag Laser Blaster.
AppTag is an innovative later blaster toy kit designed for iPhones, iPod touches and Android phones. The kit contains an AppTag unit, pistol grip, trigger and wire and free app. You can assemble the AppTag unit and the pistol grip into a laser blaster pistol, or apply the AppTag unit to your Nerf or Buzzbee toy gun. There is a holder on the AppTag unit in order to hold your smartphone on the toy gun as a tracker to monitor your “enemies” around you. Using high frequency sound, the unit can communicate with iPod, iPhone or Android phone without the use of Bluetooth or WiFi, and comes with an IR sender and receiver for your scores, while the focused infrared beam and sensor is totally safe for your “enemies”. Apart from that, AppTag has 6 buttons including a pressure sensitive trigger switch, a large reload button and 4 buttons that allow app developers to expand on gameplay. After the break, check out the following demo video.
At present, the designer of AppTag is raising fund on Kickstarter. Pledge $65 will let you own 2 AppTag Laser Blasters in order to experience real world first person shooting game. If you’re interested, jump to Kickstarter official site for more details.
