At yesterday’s event, in addition to 9.7″ iPad Pro, Apple also announced 4″ iPhone SE that has the look of iPhone 5s but features higher performance than the old model. The new small-screen iPhone undoubtedly complements the whole iPhone line.
It’s very clear now that iPhone SE completely uses the classic appearance of iPhone 5/5s without adding any smooth design like iPhone 6/6s. Apparently Apple not only considered its own cost, but also tried to help you save some money because you can use your existing iPhone 5s case on the new iPhone SE.
There is no innovative element on the appearance of iPhone SE, but as a budget-friendly model, the 4″ iPhone shows off A9 chip and M9 motion coprocessor that can be found in iPhone 6s/6s Plus in order to deliver two times faster CPU performance than iPhone 5s and three times faster GPU performance than iPhone 5s. Furthermore, its 12MP iSight camera features True Tone flash, f/2.2 aperture, five-element lens, sapphire crystal lens cover and 4K video recording.
Additionally, other features also include 4″ Retina display with 1136 x 640 pixels resolution at 326 ppi, FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID, Apple Pay, built-in rechargeable battery offering up to 14 hours of talk time on 3G. and Hey Siri, but there is no 3D Touch built in the phone.
iPhone SE comes in four colors and two storage capacities: 16GB and 64GB, each is priced at $399/ $499 USD. If you’re interested, jump to Apple for its more details.
Update: iPhone SE also features 2GB RAM.
