Just today at the Yerba Buena Center, Apple announced a series of updated products including Apple TV, iOS 5.1, iWorks, iMovie, of course, the brightest star today is the latest iOS tablet: iPad 3.
Apple iPad 3 is a 9.7-inch iOS tablet that measures 9.5 x 7.31 x 0.37 inches and weights 1.44 pounds. iPad 3 features a dual-core Apple A5X custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip with quad-core graphics, more memory than iPad 2, an option of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage, a 9.7-inch multitouch Retina display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, a front-facing FaceTime camera and a 5-megapixel autofocus iSight camera, and comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in speaker, 3.5mm audio jack and microphone. Apart from that, the built-in 42.5-watt-hour rechargeable battery offers you up to 10 hours of usage time.
In addition to WiFi and 3G, iPad 3 also supports 4G network, and is available in two colors including white and black. The iPad 3 WiFi 16GB version is priced at $499 USD, while iPad 3 WiFi+4G 16GB costs $629 USD. All the models of iPad 3 will be launched on March 16.
