The all-new Echo Dot is an advanced handsfree, voice-controlled device that measures 1.3 x 3.3 x 3.3 inches and weighs 5.7 oz. As we can see from the images, the device sports a minimal, compact, cylindrical appearance, and it comes in two colors including white and black to match with different interior styles.
Using built-in Bluetooth technology and 3.5mm audio port, the Echo Dot can connect with your existing wired or wireless speaker, and its integrated WiFi connectivity allows it to join in your local network in order that you can use your voice to control music playback, get voiced news, set alarms and control other smart home devices from WeMo, Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, Nest, ecobee, and etc. Moreover, it also allows your speaker to play music from Prime Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio ad TuneIn.
